Its location was great, not far from shops etc. Easy to access and find and very comfortable. Great help from the staff.
Comfortable room and convenient parking. Good food at the restaurant at reasonbable price. Restaurant and bar staff excellent and friendly.
The cafe was only open for limited hours and not for all the hours advertised.
The novelty of staying in a luxury cave but with all modern facilities was a enjoyable stay thank you
The only thing I did not like was the stairs to the Restruant as my wife had a broken ankle & was hard to climb
Excellent rooms in best location in town
The experience of the "underground" room was enjoyable, albeit at times somewhat noisy (neighbours' conversations in passageway echoed and in the early hours of one particular morning, an argument by neighbours in a nearby room was quite loud and disturbing). Additionally, in the company of friends, I enjoyed an excellent dining experience in Umberto's restaurant (although the pleasant staff did seem a little unsure and confused at times).
Bathroom wall finish was very unattractive and did not reflect the feeling of being underground in the same way as the main room. We were surprised that 3 towels removed during one morning's room service were replaced with only 2 and no extras were left in cupboard. (I was sharing a twin room with my sister and would have liked at least 2 towels each). Also face washers were replaced with hand towels(?) on one morning. Our first morning's reported problem of a seeming air bubble between hand basin and shower hot water was not attended to, although we did manage to work out that hand basin tap needed to be turned on to release hot water in shower recess (room 13).
Lunch at Crystal cafe
Compared to stay~7years ago it appears corners are being cut eg Maintenance.
I found it to be friendly and a unique experience to have slept underground.
I found it to be quite noisy, from other guests opening doors to their rooms when comming home. And there was quite a bit of noise comming from the above apartments when people were showering ect.
The location in the centre of town, the interior of the hotel
The pool appeared to be dirty
It was interesting staying in an underground room and Umberto's restaurant was excellent.
We could not get internet access on our own notebook even though it was advertised as being wireless accessible.
